Bacterial Biofilm Control in Dairy Processing Lines: A Vansteri Decontamination Case Study

Vansteri developed a customized cleaning and vaporized hydrogen peroxide decontamination solution for bacterial biofilm contamination in dairy processing pipelines. The treatment reduced *Bacillus cereus* from 100 CFU/cm² to undetectable levels and allowed production to resume within 24 hours.

Pharmaceutical Water Pipeline Biofilm Removal: A Vantsteri Case Analysis

A pharmaceutical company experienced repeated total colony count exceedances in its process water pipeline system, despite conventional disinfection. Vantsteri identified persistent biofilm on the inner pipeline walls and implemented a targeted removal process involving assessment, acid cleaning and passivation, biofilm treatment, and repeated purified-water flushing. After treatment, microbial counts decreased significantly, the biofilm spore kill rate exceeded 90%, and no repeated exceedances were observed during continued monitoring.

Norovirus Outbreak on a Cruise Ship: A Vantsteri Disinfection Case Analysis

During a cruise voyage, an increasing number of passengers developed vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and other symptoms caused by norovirus. Vantsteri deployed 60 disinfection units and 15 engineers to complete a 16-hour disinfection project covering drinking-water systems, sanitary facilities, air-conditioning systems, dining areas, cabins, and entertainment venues. Chemical and biological indicators were used to monitor the disinfection process.
