Vantsteri Real-World Case Study: Eliminating Bacteriophage Contamination from an E. coli Production Facility Vantsteri recently responded to a critical incident at an E. coli–based production line where a bacteriophage outbreak was causing cell lysis and large-scale fermentation losses. Acting as an on-site microbial contamination control team, Vantsteri’s specialists performed rapid environmental sampling, PCR confirmation, and gene sequencing to trace the source of the phage. Using our proprietary GHP gas-phase decontamination technology, combined with high-efficiency filtration and water-system purification, we successfully eradicated the phage from the facility and prevented its recurrence. This swift, science-driven intervention restored production stability, safeguarded product quality, and minimized economic losses for the client.
